To Timothy Dwight

Bedford 10 Feby 1803.

Sir

In a Letter written you the 11 Ult.1 by the post, in answer to the one I had the pleasure of recg. from you,2 I mentioned that in pursuance of yr. advice I shd. send my Son to Mr Davis,3 in the course of this month—

If the Weather be fair he will set out Tomorrow, & I have directed him to wait upon you with this Letter. On this subject I can express no sentiments wh. will not occur to You. I flatter myself that his conduct will be such as to recommend him to your attention; and that his Progress in Learning will be reputable both to his Instruction and to himself— With great Respect & Esteem I am Sir your most obt. Servt
