Congress have by a Resolution of which the enclosed is a copy confirmed the Arrangement of the Officers of the Massachusetts-line, & directed Commissions for them to be issued accordingly.1 I have the Honor to be &ca.

1. The enclosure has not been identified, but for this resolution, dated 6 Sept., see 15:1033. GW had transmitted the arrangement to Jay on 5 Aug. (first letter).
