1Charles Weissenfels is listed in the New York City directory for 1790 as living at “old Hobuck ferry house, Corporation dock.” His brother George’s occupation is given as “conveyancer” and his address as 24 King Street.

2Frederick Weissenfels, who had been a colonel of a New York regiment of levies during the American Revolution.
