New York 22d Jan: 1822.

W. A. Thompson presents his best respects to Mr Jefferson, and asks the favour of him, to cause—the enclosed to be delivered to Mr Coffee, if Mr C. should be at Monticello at the time they come to hand; if not, then to re-enclose them under cover to Mr Thompson No 21. Cedar St N. Y.—
