Treasury Department, Revenue Office, January 29, 1795. “Agreeably to what was done for the supply of 1794 it appears to be expedient to authorize the Supervisor of the Revenue in Kentucky1 to draw on Philadelphia for such sum, not exceeding four thousand dollars, as he may find necessary, in preference to drawing upon the Supervisor of Virginia….”2
