To Thomas Jefferson from Grand & Cie., 1 May 1793

From Grand & Cie.

Paris, 1 May 1793. Recalling with pleasure their association with TJ in France and hoping that he will continue to remember them and to avail himself of their services, they introduce M. Desdoity, a merchant who has already been established for some time in New York and is trusted by a person in France with whom they are intimately connected, and ask TJ to welcome and be of service to him.

Dupl (DLC); 2 p.; in French; at head of text: “Duplicata”; endorsed by TJ as received 2 Aug. 1793 and so recorded in SJL. Enclosed in Desdoity to TJ, 31 July 1793.
