From Colonel William Prescott

Sewall’s Point [Mass.] 9 December 1775.. Consents to the discharge of Lt. James Russell who “Represents to me that the affairs of his Family are Such that Require his attention at home.”1

1. James Russell (d. 1801), lieutenant of Capt. Hugh Maxwell’s company in Prescott’s Massachusetts regiment, was discharged on this date.
