Dr Sir

I submit the inclosed letters to you and Major General Hamilton & Majr General Pinckney. The young gentleman who presented them to me and in whose favour they are has requested to have the honour to present them to you.1 With the greatest respect I have the honour to be Dr Sir your most obt ⟨st⟩

1. The letters have not been identified, but they may be those written in support of Philip Church’s application for a commission in the New Army. See Philip Schuyler to GW, 20 Nov. 1798, and the letters printed in note 1 to that document.
