The executions &c.—mentioned in orders the 18th instant to take place tomorrow morning eleven ôclock.

Adj. Gen. Alexander Scammell’s orderly book entry for this date includes the following additional general orders: “A Corporal, and six men, from the 2nd Maryland Brigade, furnish’d with three days provision, to be sent to the Commissary General of prisoners, to morrow morning 5’OClock” (orderly book, 22 Dec. 1778–26 June 1779, DNA: RG 93, Orderly Books, 1775–1783, vol. 28).

GW’s expenses for this date included 15s. “To Cash pd for bringg asparagrass a present” (household account book, 11 April 1776–21 Nov. 1780, DLC:GW, ser. 5, vol. 28).
