B. Dandridge has the honor by the Presidents order, to send the enclosed Proceedings of the Senate, on the subject of the Treaty with the Wabash & Illinois Indians, to the Secretary of War for his information.1

The enclosure has not been identified, but it contained a copy of the resolution passed on 9 Jan., in which the Senate refused, by a vote of 21 to 4, to give its consent to the treaty that Rufus Putnam negotiated with the Wabash and Illinois Indians in September 1792 ( , 146; GW to U.S. Senate, 13 Feb. 1793).
