From Neil Jamieson

New York, 14 Aug. 1785. Letter accompanies two packets from Charleston, S.C., a letter from James Currie at Richmond, and some New York newspapers; these probably will be forwarded to TJ by a passenger going in the August packet.

RC (MHi); 2 p.; endorsed. Entered in SJL as received 18 Sep. 1785, along with James Currie to TJ, 5 Aug. 1785, and Ralph Izard to TJ, 10 June 1785”; the latter was probably one of the “two packets” from Charleston, but the second has not been identified.
