Petition of William Edgar1

New York, February 13, 1787. As chairman of a committee Hamilton on this date issued a report on “the petition of William Edgar, and others, proprietors of lands in the patent commonly called the Oneida purchase, praying leave to bring in a bill for the partition of the said tract of land.”2
