Richmond, April 4, 1800. Requests that Hamilton grant to his son, “John G. Gamble—a Youth at Princeton College—just entering his 20th year … the favor of introductory letters to Gentlemen Who may reside on the route” to Boston. States that his son “had the honor of being in Genl. Marshalls family during his Embassy to France.”2
