From La Rouerie

La Rouerie, 22 Jan. 1786. Acknowledges receipt of TJ’s letter of 12 Jan. and thanks him for his part in “seeing justice done to us”; requests that TJ write to Congress on the subject; encloses letters to be forwarded to Congress, the Board of Treasury, and Gen. Washington.
