From Thomas Jefferson to John McQueen, 9 May 1786

To John McQueen

Tuesday May. 9.

Mr. Jefferson begs the favor of Mr. Mc.Queen to take charge of the letter and packet herewith sent for Mr. Drayton as president of a society of Agriculture. He will be very happy to see Mr. Mc.Queen tomorrow if he can make it convenient to come and take a family dinner with him.

RC (Miss Caroline Huger, Bluffton, S.C., 1946); addressed, in part: “hotel des Ambassadeurs prés la comedie Italienne” endorsed. Not recorded in SJL.
