I take the liberty of proposing for your approbation, Henry B. Brevoort, for an Ensign in the 2d. Regiment of Infantry.

HENRY B. BREVOORT received his ensign’s commission, dated to 7 May 1802, and eventually rose to the rank of major in the United States Army. Settling in the Michigan Territory after the War of 1812, he later served as register of the land office at Detroit and as an Indian agent at Green Bay. He died at Detroit in 1858 ( , 1:434; 2:24, 199, 525; 3:315, 324; Columbus Daily Ohio Statesman, 11 Apr. 1856, 11 Feb. 1858).
