Caleb Gibbs on 5 June and paid $10 for “Lodging & Breakfast” at Pompton, N.J., where GW apparently stayed overnight, as well as $5 for lodging and breakfast “for the servants” (Revolutionary War Accounts, Vouchers, and Receipted Accounts 1, 1776–1780, DLC:GW, Ser. 5).
