(DLC:GW). A footnote indicated that “Burbeck’s & late Savage’s companies of artillery—Smiths of 1st Regt & Roberts &c. Mills’s of 2d Regt infantry” made up the troops in Georgia. On 9 Feb. Knox sent Lear for delivery to the president maps of Josiah Harmar’s and Arthur St. Clair’s marches, as well as an “old Magazine” in which was published GW’s journal of his Fort Necessity campaign, which Knox requested to be returned (DLC:GW). Lear returned the maps and the magazine to Knox on 17 Feb. (DLC:GW).
