Morristown [New Jersey] April 12, 1777. Introduces Mauduit du Plessis2 and recommends his appointment as a captain of artillery.

1. John Hancock was President of the Continental Congress.

2. Thomas Antoine, Chevalier de Mauduit du Plessis, was appointed a captain in the Continental artillery on April 15, 1777.
