Calendared in the lists probably made by Peter Force (DLC, series 7, container 2) as a two-page letter “recommending sund[r]y persons” and concerning “a sword for the heir of Gen. Campbell to be presented by Virginia.” Acknowledged in JM to Monroe, 24 Oct. 1801.
