Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends runs until October 1761, but GW abandoned that account after making an entry for 22 Oct. 1761. He then struck the balances for this original account in the Account Book (£7,426.17.11 current money and £1,599.8.3½ sterling) and carried the total over to the guardian’s account that he set up for Martha Parke Custis (doc.
