1The other side of the ledger showing what was due GW has only two entries. It is headed “The Estate of Danl P. Custis Esqr. decd.” The first entry, with no amount entered, is “1759 To my Wife’s full third part of all his Personal Estate”; the second entry, dated “Decr 5” [1759], is: “To Cash paid Mr James Hunter for Freight & Charges on 15 Hbds Tobo Shipd pr the Fair American £7.10.3” (see doc. IV-A).
