1. GW paid 12s. 6d. to “[James] Patterson in Wmsburg repairing Mrs Lee’s Watch.” Col. Henry Lee repaid him this amount “in Williamsburg” (General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. 3. This was to repay a £10 loan that GW made to Frances Colvill in October 1766 and the cost of “an express” (General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. 4. Anthony Hay, who was a cabinetmaker in Williamsburg, bought the Raleigh Tavern in the town from William Trebell in 1767 and kept the tavern until his death in 1770. He was married to Elizabeth Davenport.
